Purpose

Carb Beacon is an information and arithmetic tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It does not tell you to take insulin.

Never dose from a scan alone

Barcode databases and AI label reads can be incomplete or wrong. Compare the product, serving size and carbohydrate value with the physical package. Sugars are already included within total carbohydrate.

No dosing guidance

Carb Beacon does not include an insulin dose-maths calculator in this release. It shows carbohydrate and sugar values only. For any insulin or medication dosing decision, follow your personal care plan and consult your endocrinologist, credentialled diabetes educator or diabetes care team.
